Kelvingrove Museum + My Favorites
One of Glasgow's most important museums, the Kelvingrove's collection ranges from millions-of-years-old fossils of marine life to the earliest, nearly-complete field armour, crafted in Milan in the 15th century. The century-old museum is one of Glasgow's favourite buildings, built out of sandstone in classic Victorian style. About 1,000,000 visitors view the Kelvingrove's artifacts each year. People's Palace and Winter Gardens + My Favorites
Glasgow's social history museum, the People's Palace traces the history of the Glaswegian people from 1175 on. Witness the rise of the tobacco lords, who lived in lush mansions while their workers were forced to crowd into cramped "Single Ends". Also on display are photographs, drawings and film clips of the city's past, and the surrounding Winter Gardens provide a pleasant spot for a stroll.
