TBA This is the world's largest event celebrating the bagpipes, the haunting sounds of which have taken part in Scotland's history since Roman times. The instrument has since been adopted around the world, with piping being popular around the world, including New York and, remarkably, Oman. Regardless of their nationality, competitors must all follow the common guidelines of the piping tradition. Events take place at Glasgow Green, and also include Highland dancing and drumming.
