The Rangers were created in 1872 out of four men's love for the game, and their first match was played in street clothes and with a borrowed ball, and ended in a 0-0 tie. The next year, the wore the colour blue and won decisively, and have kept winning ever since. Today, they are watched and admired by millions of fans worldwide, winning at least 50 Scottish League championships, and, in 1972, they achieved the European Cup, exactly 100 years after their first game was played. Home games are decided at Ibrox Stadium. Address: Ibrox Stadium Glasgow GLG Scotland G51 2XD

The beloved Celtics were the first British team ever to win the European cup in 1967. Always competitive, from 1915 to 1917 the team went unbeaten for 62 consecutive games, and, more recently, from 2001 to 2004 and while wearing their characteristic green and white uniforms, the club went 77 games at home before suffering a loss. Nicknamed the Bhoys, Celtic fans are known throughout the football world as among the most faithful, and their huge stadium, Celtic Park, fills the seats with 57,000 to 58,000 spectators nearly every game.
